Since the advent of
Pong, Pete has been obsessed with video games and early in his life decided
he wanted to create them. He taught himself how to program from the
ground up and hasn't looked back since. In his sophmore year of high
school, Pete's unsurmountable competitive nature and desire to be the best,
led him to discover that he was learning more on his own, and that High
School was hindering his quest to create his own video games. It was
around that time, he began to teach others what he knew of computers and
programming, along with being the lead technician at his local Staples.
Had to make money somehow!
Around the
turn of the millennium, Pete and lifelong friend, Chris began
brainstorming how to design the best video game with the only resources
available to them - their brains and ambition.
Following
months of research, discussion and testing, Outwar.com - graphically
designed by Chris, completely coded by Pete and equally combined, they added
the first addictive features to the game. During Outwar's infancy,
players were rewarded for convincing (or tricking) their friends to click
their link directing potential players to Outwar. Outwar was an
immediate hit! Soon after, Pete and Chris officially partnered to form
the thriving state-of-the-art company known as Rampid - which has done
nothing but grow.
With the help
of strong recruits, professional and friendly networking, open minds and
flexible ownership policies, Chris and Pete have built a hungry team of 12,
including themselves. Pete is currently the Project Manager for Crowns
of Power - Rampid's 3-D MMORPG baby, which is ready for launch.
Like Outwar, Pete has coded CoP from blank and continues to be fully
devoted to perfecting CoP. Could this satisfy his lifelong dream?
Only time will tell...
